Dr Rachel Harding is a lecturer in the School of Transport & Civil Engineering Technological University Dublin and is a member of the RDS Science and Technology committee.
Rachel’s research interests in STEM / Engineering Education focus on gender differences in spatial visualisation skills.
Education has been at the heart of the RDS since its earliest years and the RDS has been one of the earliest promoters of science in Ireland. The RDS began holding science lectures covering an array of topics in 1797, with lectures on physics and chemistry made open to the public in 1824.
Their work in promoting Science continues today with ESB Science Blast for primary schools, and their STEM learning CPD programme for primary school teachers.
