Eoin Gill is a founder of the Robert Boyle Summer School celebrating its 11th year in 2023. An environmental engineer by profession, his research and professional interests span sustainability and climate action, to the Arts, Philosophy and History of Science and Technology. Eoin is passionate about collaborative working and advancing and enhancing STEM engagement and education.
Founding Director of CALMAST, STEM engagement centre at SETU Waterford (previously WIT), Eoin has over 25 years experience developing and delivering STEM and STEAM festivals and activities across the Higher Education, Science and Arts sector in Ireland and beyond. He is also coordinator of Maths Week Ireland, which is a partnership across the island of Ireland and takes place every October reaching around 500,000 people.
CALMAST’s programme includes all areas of STEM with a particular emphasis on sustainability and extensive experience working at the STEM/art/culture intersection. Activities are delivered for all ages, with a particular effort to include underserved groups, engaging 30,000 each year.
